📄 Invoicing

Estimated product pricing

Setting up before you open? You can now add estimated prices for products, so you can start building recipes before your first invoice is processed. Once real data arrives, those estimates automatically update.

Updated EDI invoice modes

We’ve renamed and simplified EDI modes to make it clearer which option to choose. You’ll now see Image-First Processing and EDI-First Processing — with older, rarely used modes hidden from view.

Memo lines on invoices

Add notes or details right on your invoices! Both header-level and line-level memos are now available (QuickBooks Online first, with more accounting platforms coming soon). Your accounting team will love the added context.

📊 Reporting

Sales Forecast added to Sales Comparison Report

View how your sales stack up against both last year and your forecast — all in one place. Forecasting insights are now available right inside your Sales Comparison Report.

Sales Forecast enablement for everyone

All MarginEdge customers now have Sales Forecasting automatically turned on! It delivers more accurate predictions right out of the box and connects directly to key reports like budgets and sales comparisons for a clearer view of performance.

Budgets on P&L

You can now view your budgets directly alongside your Profit & Loss report. Starting October 2025, a new Budgets column can be toggled on or off — giving you instant visibility into how current performance stacks up against your planned spend. This makes it faster and easier to share insights and discuss financial performance with your team.

🍳 Recipes

Allergen matrix in Recipe export

Recipe exports now include an allergen matrix — following the industry-standard format used by brands like Just Salad, Shake Shack, and McDonald’s. Perfect for training and compliance.

Print recipes in bulk

Need a binder for your kitchen? You can now print up to 50 recipes at once — great for teams who prefer to work from paper during prep or service.

Plate & pour cost alerts

Keep your margins in check with real-time alerts when a dish’s plate or pour cost goes outside your target range. Get notified before those changes hit your P&L. Set an alert.

Add photos to recipe steps

Show, don’t tell. You can now add images to each step of your recipe, making it even easier for your team to follow your exact process.

💸 Bill Pay

AP aging summary

Quickly see what’s due and when with a refreshed AP Aging view. Manage payables by vendor or due date to stay ahead of cash flow.

Bill Pay vendor setup refresh

Vendor setup got a glow-up! The new interface is cleaner, faster, and easier to navigate — with bulk enable options and smart checks for required fields. 

Multi-factor authentication (MFA)

Security just got stronger. MFA is now required for all Bill Pay users, helping prevent fraud and unauthorized access.

Surfacing payment failures in Bill Pay

When a payment (Check or MEEP) is moved to Failed status, [ME] staff are now prompted to add a short explanation using a new text box that appears after selecting Force Change Status or Cancel VCC.

That note will appear whenever a user with the right permissions clicks the Failed status in Bill Pay → Payments, giving staff and customers immediate clarity on why a payment didn’t go through.

Company Bill Pay improvements on loading time

To use Company Bill Pay, all units must share the same connected bank account across tenants. Each tenant needs that account imported or added individually before bills can be paid from the Company View.

We also reduced loading times for the Invoices and Payments screens by fetching data in grouped batches — cutting down the wait and making it faster to review and process payments.

🏪 Multi-unit tools

PMIX copying

Running multiple units with similar menus? You can now copy PMIX mappings from one store to another — saving hours of setup time.

Purchase Report

Gain visibility into product pricing across all your locations with the new Multi-Unit Purchase Report. Quickly spot inconsistencies and ensure teams follow purchasing guidelines.

Menu price overrides

Set location-specific menu prices directly in MarginEdge. Perfect for operators who adjust pricing by market — think NYC vs. Florida.

🔗 New integrations

Qu POS integration

We’re now fully integrated with Qu POS! You can pull in sales, PMIX, and labor data — making MarginEdge even more flexible for franchise groups and enterprise operators.

📱New in mobile

Declining budgets (desktop + mobile)

Budgets just got smarter. You can now see how you’re pacing through your budget — not just what’s left. Check it on desktop or mobile to stay on track before the month ends.

Recipe viewer

You can now view, scale, and search your recipes directly in the mobile app — complete with photos and videos. Whether you’re training new staff or double-checking prep details mid-service, you can now do it all right from your phone.

Spotted [me] on the road? The past couple of months have been a whirlwind of amazing events!
