What was DMV restaurant sales growth in September 2026?

The trailing 4-week (28-day) average of year-over-year (YoY) sales growth for DMV restaurants in September 2026 came in at:

Segment YoY Sales Growth (28-day avg.)
Fast Casual +0%
Full Service +1%

In last month's 7-day moving average chart, both segments saw a healthy boost from Labor Day Weekend, peaking at 13% growth for Full Service and 7% growth for Fast Casual. The week following took a slight dip, while the rest of the month stayed postive for both segments.

Delivery as a percentage of overall sales accounted for 11.99% of sales for the DMV, up slightly from last month, and 13.21% nationwide.

REGION DELIVERY AS A PERCENTAGE OF OVERALL SALES
DMV 11.99%
Nationwide 13.21%

Even with schedules changing thanks to back-to-school, Labor Day Weekend was a welcome bump in growth for both segments, but Full Service in particular! We're excited to see what the last few weeks of warm weather in October (and Halloween, of course!) bring this month.

We'll see you in November!
