September marks the start of fall but thankfully national restaurant sales went nowhere but up last month!
Green onions topped the Movers chart this month, with Hass avocados making their appearance on the Droppers chart for the second month in a row.
Overall, food and beverage costs were slightly lower for Q3 compared to Q2, with food costs on average accounting for 32% of June through September's sales.
Fast Casual was slightly lower than August's growth, coming in at 7%, and Full Service at 14%. Overall sales ended the month at 13% up from September 2021 across the country.
