Cases up, sales down.

Without question, restaurant sales and opening guidance are going to be closely related to number of Covid cases within any given market. Minneapolis saw strong recovery in year-over-year numbers in June but as cases went up in the area, creating corresponding changes in reopening guidance, we saw numbers dip slightly this month from the peak in June.

Since the beginning of the Covid crisis Minneapolis closure percentages have tracked higher than the national numbers, but in July these numbers dropped to a percent point away from the national percentage.

Hopefully more open restaurants mean a nice rebound in sales when reopening begins again.
