Your December 2025 Mantra
The holidays are a lot like a cup of hot cocoa: sweet, meant to be shared and at times, a little overwhelming. Whether this season brings you excitement, extras to-dos, or an excuse to eat leftover pie for four days straight, make sure you’re taking the time to reflect on making it through another year. Through highs, lows and everything in between, you’ve done it. And that deserves an extra slice of pie in our book.
This year, I’m less about making the holidays feel like my Pinterest inspo pic and more about making them feel like a warm hug. No matter what’s happened this year, I’ve faced it with patience, hard work and well, charm (and maybe a pumpkin matcha or two). The holiday movie I’m most likely to watch is The Polar Express (a sentimental fan favorite, and might make you shed a few happy tears, just like me).
Your Bio
You are the king or queen of front of house. You're a hit with the regulars and know just how to make everyone feel special. You're also very good at making it seem like you have it all together, but won't let anyone see what the inside of your car looks like. You're the first person your GM sends to an unhappy guest to make things better. Other famous Charmers include Bon Appetit's Brad Leone, Leslie Knope from Parks & Rec, and Joey Tribbiani from Friends.

The holidays are truly my time to thrive, and not just because I can finally show off my “jingle-bell-pepper” earrings. Holidays are more than just a chance to flex my highly impressive gift-wrapping skills or my custom-embroidered sweaters. They’re a time to remember what’s really important: using my creativity to make those around me feel special. The holiday movie I’m most likely to watch is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (a trend-setter and super stylish, just like me!)
Your Bio
You are always coming up with new ideas, and don't like the "old" way of doing things. You're like Fernet, either people love you or they pretend to. You enjoy mixing things up and may or may not have unironically owned a Fedora at one point (it was the 2010s ok!?). Other famous Creatives include Phoebe Buffay from Friends and Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter.

This holiday season, I’m doing more than screaming intensively into the fireplace. Turns out, the most adrenaline-pumping thing to do this season is to surprise my loved ones. Sure, quality time is a great gift, but so is a custom-painted snowboard (and matching helmet by yours truly). The holiday movie I’m most likely to watch is How the Grinch Stole Christmas (out-of-the-box but heartfelt, and a great source of comic relief, just like me!)
Your Bio
You can really work in any position front or back of house, but feel most at home on or near expo. You are high energy and can sometimes be aggressive (or just aggressively positive). You've expressed your fair share of "WOO!"s and "LET'S GOOOOO"s. You love the rush and are usually down to go out for a nightcap after closing. Other famous Pushers include Gordon Ramsey and Matty Matheson.

I’m a hard worker in every season, and the holidays are no exception. This year, I’m redefining what “hard work” means to me: the feeling of satisfaction after completing a gingerbread house, getting through that ultra-bright Christmas maze without getting lost or fitting a nap in while the ham is in the oven. Hard work doesn’t always have to be striving toward my big goals; it can also be basking in the everyday accomplishments that bring me joy. The holiday movie I’m most likely to watch is Frosty the Snowman (he’s charming, a hard worker and able to make something out of nothing, just like me!)
Your Bio
You are calm, stable, and dependable. You always get your work done and don't make waves unless someone else doesn't put in their fair share. You may or may not be approaching burnout, but admitting it would be a sign of weakness. The random kitchen object that best represents your personality is a trusty (but a lil' crusty) frying pan. Other famous Workhorses include Sydney from The Bear and Peggy Olson from Mad Men.

This holiday season, I’m looking forward to more than my sweet potato pie recipe. The meals I look forward to the most are the ones that are shared. The sweetest thing about this season isn’t fancy gifts or that homemade frosting I make with too much sugar, it’s two spoons in one big ice cream tub and the table scattered with dishes made by many hands. I’m spending less time in the kitchen and more with those that I love. The holiday movie I’m most likely to turn on is A Charlie Brown Christmas (sweet and sure to put a smile on anyone’s face, just like me).
Your Bio
You don't have to be a woman, but like a mother, you are caring and loving and also know alllll the tea. You're the go-to person when a coworker needs life advice or a shoulder to cry on. Other Moms include Sugar from The Bear and Lorelai from Gilmore Girls.

This holiday season, I’m trading to-do lists for wishlists, and at the top of mine is a vacation. Being a leader isn’t always fun and games, but this December, I’m taking the time to see things from a new angle. A big part of leading is learning. Taking in new perspectives and learning from my community feels cozier than the new socks waiting for me when I get home. The holiday movie I’m most likely to watch is Elf (a perfect mix of inspirational and sweet, just like me!)
Your Bio
You run the show and are likely a GM or other manager. You're often stressed out but still able to pull through and get shit done. You sometimes have outbursts but anger it's not your primary emotion. You are friendly, but probably not besties with most of the staff. Other famous Leaders include Carmy from The Bear, Selina Meyer from VEEP, and Tony Soprano.

Blanket-fresh-out-of-the-dryer-and-bedtime-at-4pm season is officially here. Despite my ability to feel cozy all on my own, I’m looking forward to the chances to gather with loved ones (and maybe have them try my new lasagna soup recipe). Turns out, the “coziest” place to be around the holidays is with those you love (and a nearby espresso machine). The holiday movie I’m most likely to watch is Home Alone (not the loudest, but one of the most memorable, just like me).
Your Bio
You are a mystery to us all (and even yourself). You show up and don't talk much but when you do say something it's typically quite profound. You're not usually managing anything and are ok with going with the flow. Although quiet, you would be missed if you weren't there. You can be slightly aloof but in a likable way. Other famous Quiet Mysteries include Hyde from That 70's Show (not an endorsement of Danny Masterson), Mama Coco from Coco, and Stanley from The Office.

It’s officially pull-out-the-holiday-fine-china-that-no-one-is-allowed-to-eat-on-season, and I couldn’t be more excited. But what truly makes this season so perfect is more than just my color-coded holiday decor storage box; it’s all the non-color-coded moments in between. The mistakes and the lessons that came with them, the times I picked myself up again and the loved ones that were there along the way are just a few of the things that make this season so magical. The holiday movie I’m most likely to watch is A Christmas Carol (not too serious, not overly sweet and keeps the focus on what’s important, just like me!)
Your Bio
Some may describe you as anal or having an "it's just business" approach, but really you just enjoy the challenge of working in a restaurant (and you really like to be the best at it). If you worked in a traditional corporate setting, you'd probably be in trouble with HR because of the less-than-delicate way you handle others' mistakes. At your core though you take pride in what you do and think others should too. You might be a sommelier or executive chef. Other famous Perfectionists include Sherlock Holmes (the Benedict Cumberbatch version), Miranda Priestly from Devil Wears Prada, and Ralph Fiennes in The Menu.
