Within Reach of Break Even

Our DMV restaurants came into summer with a bang! Fast Casual is still crushing 2019 numbers and Full Service restaurants are making moves in the right direction. We are happy to report that Full Service numbers are only down single digits versus the vast gaps we’ve seen in the recent past.

In our view where Fast Casual and Full Service numbers are combined, you can see that total restaurant sales are really close to breaking even with 2019 – ending June only down -2.7%. While we know Fast Casual is pulling that total number up, it still feels important to note that spending across all restaurants in the area have returned mostly to normal.

Also loving the delivery trend with numbers crossing into single digit territory, making up just 9.3% of sales ending in June.
