Restaurant Sales - DC - February 2026
DMV restaurant sales numbers are in for February 2026!
Fast Casual and Full Service DMV restaurant sales were a bit of a mixed bag for February 2026, with strong performance on Valentine's Day, following some negative impacts from adverse weather at the beginning of the month.
Last month, Fast Casual came in at 0% growth at the end of February compared to February 2025 sales. Full Service ended the month +1% up from the same time last year.
In last month's 7-day moving average chart, both segments saw a very weak start to the month thanks to a big snowstorm on January 29th. Most of the DMV was shut down for a few days following the storm due to heavy snow and ice accumulation, but thankfully sales heated right back up with Valentine's Day weekend. Full Service peaked at +18% growth compared to the same time last year, while Fast Casual peaked at around +10% during the same weekend.
Delivery as a percentage of overall sales accounted for 14.53% of sales for the DMV, down slightly from last month, and 13.15% nationwide.
While February was a month of highs and lows, we're confident the lows were weather-related, and are looking forward to warmer weather in March!
We'll see you next month!
