DMV restaurant sales are in for July 2024!
On a seven-day moving average, Full Service and Fast Casual ended -1% down compared to July 2023's numbers.
Looking at monthly averages for year-over-year growth, Fast Casual averaged +2% growth compared to July 2023 sales and Full Service came in at -4%.
The beginning of the month started strong for both segments, particularly over the 4th of July holiday week and weekend. During that week, both segments saw ~4% growth from last year.
Delivery as a percentage of sales for the DMV increased to 13% last month and Nationwide came in at 14%, both up from June's percentages.
